Day 1 : Arrival , Group Dinner
Day 2: Get to know Oaxaca - 3 hour Walking Tour of the Highlights & Hidden Gems
Day 3: Market Day - Saturday is the best day to explore the markets. They are very easy to find, and folks can explore solo, in small groups. Singer will lead us to the big market first, and from there, folks can spend as much time as they want sightseeing.
Day 4: 7 Hour Artisan Tour - We will drive to see black pottery crafted in San Bartolo Coyotepec, explore colorful textiles in Santo Tomás Jalieza, marvel at whimsical alebrijes in San Martín Tilcajete + more
Day 5: Departure on Monday
Stay in a small 14 room boutique hotel near Santo Domingo

During free time, you will be able to roam this very safe and walkable city in small groups for shopping or to visit more of the museums and admire the churches and architecture.

Look for flights arriving around 12pm on our first day, and departing around 1 or 2pm on last day. There is a route through Aeromexico & American Airlines that line-up
FREE TIME
After our tours or in the mornings, you will have time to explore. Our hotel is located a few blocks from the Zócalo of the City of Oaxaca (city park), Museo Belber, a 10 minute walk to the famous Santo Domingo Church & “Museum of Cultures” housed in a 17th-century convent, close to the Museo de Arte Prehispánico de Mexico Rufino Tamayo, and blocks from the Textile Museum of Oaxaca (free).

Sample itinerary (small changes possible):
Day 1 - Arrival around 12pm at Oaxaca Airport. Check into the hotel early and head to a late lunch with Singer. Free time for early arrivals. Walk to a relaxed dinner as a Group at 6:30pm (foodie spot picked by Singer). (Chance to visit the Oaxaca Botanical Gardens tour at 5pm this day)
Day 2 - 8am Breakfast. 9:00am Morning Rooftop Yoga. 10:30am 3 Hour Walking Tour. FREE TIME 2pm on (Shopping, Museums). Dinner in small groups.
Day 3 - 8am Breakfast. 9:30am Morning Rooftop Yoga. 11am start walking to the largee Market with Singer. From here are you are free to roam on your own. FREE TIME. Great day to visit museums & do some shopping. (Chance to visit the Oaxaca Botanical Gardens tour at 5pm this day)
Day 3 - 8am Breakfast. 9am Pickup for 7 hour Artisan Tour. Back in town around 5pm. Dinner on your own or in small groups!
Day 5 - 8am Breakfast, 9:30am Morning Rooftop Yoga. Checkout of Hotel is at 12pm. Time for a quick lunch nearby. Plan on 30 minutes to get to the airport.
Weather: Daily high temperatures are around 79 degrees, and daily low temperatures around 52 degrees in November. It is also dry season, making it a great time to visit.
Elevation: 5,102 feet! Dry season. But the elevation keeps the air dry and cool.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
A non-refundable deposit of $350-$500 is required to hold your spot, and is included in the total cost per person. The $350-$500 deposit is non-refundable even if the trip is canceled or rescheduled due to unforeseen reasons (including travel bans, safety, weather, global health concerns). If, for any reason, a trip is canceled, you will, however, be able to transfer your $350-$500 deposit to a future trip with Singer within 1 year.
The first payment installment will be due 30 days after signup/deposit is paid. The max number of installments is 4.
If trip is less than 90 days away, full payment is required at sign-up.
For Payment Plans: Your final payment installment must be received 90 Days before this trip begins, and all payments after this date are non-refundable.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation on your part, 75% of your entire payment (of what you have paid so far) will be refunded less the $350-$500 non-refundable deposit and a $50 processing fee, only if the cancellation is made 90 days before the scheduled dates for this trip. Payments are non-refundable after this date.
If trip is canceled or rescheduled by the organizer due to unforeseen reasons (including travel bans, safety, weather, global health concerns), your entire payment will be refunded less the $350-$500 non-refundable deposit. You will have the option to transfer your $350-$500 non-refundable deposit to a future trip with Singer within 1 year.
All attendees will be sent a health and liability waiver + photo release to sign online before the dates of this journey.
Travel Insurance is required for this trip.
THE ART OF YOGA SCHOOL highly recommends each trip member to purchase individual travel insurance for their trip for both international retreats and domestic retreats. We suggest that you include “cancel for any reason” with your policy. You should purchase travel insurance that includes medical coverage. We recommend you purchase insurance within 1-2 weeks after making your first trip payment (ie. flight or retreat reservation) to secure the best price and best coverage.
Travel Documents and Immunizations
It is the responsibility of each traveler to obtain all required travel documents including Visas and other travel documents unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to purchase correct immunizations. Please contact your nearest travel clinic for the latest requirements.
