Our first 4 nights will be spent in a five room boutique hotel in the colonial town of Antigua. There we will enjoy daily yoga, massages (one at our hotel & one at the Thermal Hot Springs, included in trip cost) & a market tour. The town is extremely walkable and full of shopping, 5 star foodie spots, street food, and amazing colonial architecture.

On our 3rd day in Antigua we will drive 1 hour out of town for a 2 hour hike (or horseback ride) of Pacaya Volcano. After our hike we will be treated to lunch and soaking at the Santa Teresita Thermal Hot Springs where each of us will enjoy a massage & body treatment (included in cost of trip).

This tiny town is an island in the middle of Lake Petén Itzá, and is conveniently only one hour away from the Tikal Mayan Ruins. We will spend a full day exploring the ruins and temples, and our last full day in Flores will be spent relaxing by our hotel rooftop pool after morning Yoga with Singer, enjoying the view of the lake, exploring town and taking a short boat ride to a special rope swing spot for some fun by the water.

Day 6 - our biggest adventure (1 hour drive from flores)

Stop At: Tikal National Park, Tikal National Park, Peten Department

Visit one of the largest and most important Mayan places in Central America.
Once we are in the Park let your imagination fly, we'll enter a mysterious world where there are more than 3000 structures and only 30% of them are discovered. We'll tell you how the Mayans lived as we'll pass through the Palaces of the Mayan Aristocracy, we'll teach you what their values were, their structure, their religion. We'll arrive at the Central Park where you'll get to know the spectacular Pyramid symbol of Guatemala: The Great Jaguar and you'll be able to go up to the Temple of the Masks: The Temple 2. Then we'll continue our journey in El Mundo Perdido to understand where the City started and the calculation accuracy of the ancient civilization. But it does not end here!!! We'll finish the tour climbing one of the highest pyramids in the world: Temple IV, with a height of 64 meters, which has been used as a stage for several films, one of them the first Star Wars movie of 1977, as well as the eleventh James Bond movie of 1979.
After 3 to 4 hours of tour we'll end up delighting with typical Guatemalan food in the best restaurant of the Park.

Day 7 - Boat ride from Flores to “Jorge’s Rope Swing Hangout”

A 6-meter wooden diving board and an epic rope swing were the main attractions. A thatched hut with chairs, hammocks was set up the side for the ultimate chill spot. The family who lives here charges just 10 Quetzal for entry. Not more, not less if you jump a million times or just one. I loved that because I was planning to jump a lot and some tourist spots charge you per activity. https://www.journeyera.com/jorges-flores-rope-swing/
